Who we are

We have been involved in dog training, as handlers as well as trainers for over twenty five years. We met at Surrey Dog Training Society working our own dogs in competition obedience and since then we have expanded our training journeys to embrace various dog activities ranging from Ringcraft to the Kennel Club Good Citizen Awards Scheme, and Scent Detection.

  • WITH OUR DOGS WE DO AGILITY, HOOPERS AND MANTRAILING

  • WE ARE KENNEL CLUB ACCREDITED TRAINERS, QUALIFIED SINCE 2016

  • WE HOLD CURRENT CANINE FIRST AID CERTIFICATION; LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN CANINE BEHAVIOUR; UK Sniffer Dogs Bronze Level.

Our approach to training

We want you to have fun training with your dog. If you both like learning new skills and ways to make your life together the best it can be, we know you will enjoy our classes.

We are positive, reward based, force free trainers. When you join the Scallywags family we take the time to get to know you and your dog because one size doesn’t fit all. Some dogs have their quirks, need more space so they feel secure, and others are much more confident. The same is true for handlers. Whether you have had lots of dogs previously, or you’re just starting on your dog training journey, our aim is to support and educate.
